Oil waste should be properly treated in order not to cause pollution to the environment. These have been a problem for many countries especially those with factories and plants where their waste product is oil waste. They have been given instructions to properly dispose these oil wastes for them not to contaminate water source and spread possible diseases. If you are planning to store all your oil waste above the ground, then you need a container to store the waste. It is important that the container must be strong enough to hold the waste and will not burst. The container must be durable to withstand chemical reaction of the oil and must not corrode easily to avoid any leaking.

So for your additional protection, it is strongly recommended that a secondary containment system must be installed.  This will serve as your line of defense if leaking will occur.
